What are the main duties?
- You perform a variety of tasks to support daily operations in a grocery store or supermarket.
- You package customers’ purchases in-store or prepare them for delivery or shipment.
- You may assist customers by carrying groceries to their vehicles and loading them safely.
- You receive incoming merchandise, unpack, count, weigh, and sort products, and record inventory using barcode scanners.
- You verify prices, maintain computerized inventory records, and label products according to pricing lists.
- You may also install anti-theft devices on merchandise.
- You restock shelves, displays, and aisles, ensuring products are clean, organized, and readily available for customers.
